Hong Kong’s bubblegum-pink dolphins (Sousa chinensis) live right next to an airport, a power plant, highrise buildings and factories. They are threatened by the changes brought about by Hong Kong’s rapid economic development.
Come and see these beautiful dolphins for an unforgettable experience and learn more about the threats they are facing.http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/CL_xK2c5Zqg?modestbranding=0&html5=1&rel=1&autoplay=0&wmode=opaque&loop=0&controls=1&autohide=0&showinfo=0&theme=dark&color=red&enablejsapi=0
The wild pink dolphins in Hong Kong were not known even to the local citizens until mid 90s. Established in 1995, Hong Kong Dolphinwatch is the most experienced company taking people to watch those beautiful marine mammals in Hong Kong waters with the hope to raise the awareness for their protection.
The company was founded by Bill Leverett who left Hong Kong in 2003 for the UK. Original staff members took over and are proud of their work which have won the company a reputation of being people who really care.
Our guides, who speak English, Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese, are knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. Half-day regular trips are run every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. There may also be occasional additional trips. We also do charters, give free talks to schools and groups and donate to support research.
